By Phil Michell 29-11-06 This Saturday night the Sprintcars won’t be the only class on show at Adelaide’s Speedway City as the meeting will also see the awesome Super Sedans, the AMCA Nationals, Street Stocks and Junior Sedans strutting their stuff along with a crash and bash Ramp Race at the end of the night! The fourth meeting of the year will see up to 15 locally based Super Sedans contesting round three of the hotly contested JD Super Sedan Track Championship. Already this season the racing has been top class with Bill Miller and Trevor Ware capturing the feature victories. As a result of his victory in the opening round Bill Miller holds a comfortable lead in the Series but Mannum based driver Colin Neville, rookie Dan Miller and Ware are within striking distance of the overall lead. Add in the likes of Kym Cottrell, Gill Worthley, Andrew Leach, Tony Howlett, Chris Blunden and Steve Vaughan, who is making his JD Couriers Series debut and round 3 is set to be the best round of the year so far. The AMCA Nationals will also be out in force with 22 nominations including regular front runners Michael Miller, Brian Chadwick, Dennis Miller, David Hartman, Maris Valodze, Mick Broughan and Matt Crimmins just to name a few. Brougham and Crimmins in particular have been in stunning recent form but having said that Michael Miller has already captured two feature race wins this season. Once again the loyal band of Street Stocks will be present this weekend headed by Darren Flatman, Ben Whitehead, Phil and Paul Hayes, Brad Evans and Gary Westley while 21 Junior Sedans will be in the pit area with the young stars being separated into two groups. Finally to top off the entertaining evening a Jump Ramp race will be run and if you haven’t seen one before you are in for a real treat. The gates will open to the general public at 4:30pm with Sprintcar engine starts and hot laps beginning at 5:30pm. The first event of the night will take the green flag at 6:15pm sharp. Admission into the venue for Round 2 of the Speedway City Track Championship has been set at $15 for Adults, $13 for Concession card holders with Children being admitted for $3. So for a real Family night out make sure you are trackside this weekend at Speedway City, “The Place To Race”. Speedway City is located on Supple Road, Virginia.
